The Village of St. Charles offers 3 parks for our residents and visitors to enjoy. Our largest is Coal Miners’ Park located at 200 Parkway. St. Charles offers enjoyment for the whole family from our play equipment, dog park, 18 hole disc golf course, 3 baseball fields, basketball and volleyball courts to our 1 mile paved walking trail. During the months of July-October our Coal Miners’ Park is the home to the St. Charles Farmers’ Marketplace on Tuesdays from 3-7 PM and various concerts in the summertime in our beautiful gazebo. Having a family reunion or party? Take advantage of renting one or both of our two covered pavilions. Forms are available on our website and in our Village Office. The large pavilion holds up to 100 people and our small pavilion holds up to 40 people and both do have electricity and picnic tables for your party needs.
Our second largest park is our Lumberjack Park. It is located next to the Bad River and at the beginning of the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail. Lumberjack Park also has a pavilion capable of holding up to 40 people with electricity and picnic tables that is available for rent. There is also play equipment and a beautiful fountain to enjoy while sitting next to the river and taking in the scenery.
Lastly is our newly remodeled Waterfowl Park is picture worthy. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and even get some pictures taken you will want to check out Waterfowl Park. In the spring and summertime there is a nice fountain and beautiful flowers with some small tables and chairs to sit and enjoy nature. Waterfowl Park also has a small stream leading you down to the Bad River next to the DNR and boat launch if you are ready to drop a line in the water and test your luck.
